The Jungle Book (1967)

Forget about your worries and your strife.

Cause all you need is the bare necessities of life.

My favorite animated film, edging out Aladdin and Yellow Submarine, the tale of Mowgli torchin’ Shere Khan while goofing off with Baloo the Bear was the final film Walt Disney produced before his death.

Decades later, it remains one of the most visually impressive productions from the House of Mouse, as the jungle comes alive, lush and vibrant.

Plus it’s blessed with all-star voice work (especially Phil Harris as Baloo), memorable songs, and distinctive characters.

It’s the gift which keeps on giving.
