13 Going on 30

Don’t fear the chick flicks.

At least not when they’re as light, frothy, and heartwarming as Jennifer Garner’s spin on Big.

Like Tom Hanks before her, our peppy heroine finds herself stuck in an awkward stage of life, and wishes for the supposed freedom of aging overnight.

Cue a little movie magic, and presto, Miss Garner emerges as a full-on adult, albeit one who can tear up the dance floor to Thriller.

Funny, charming, and surprisingly emotional in places, watching this rom com is like sinking into a warm bubble bath.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
