Fry Day

Monsters lurk everywhere.

Some, like serial killer Ted Bundy — whose long-delayed execution is in the background in this superb look at small town life curdling around the edges — capture international attention.

Others are quieter, less infamous, but no less dangerous, as 16-year-old Lauryn discovers on a humid, haunting night.

Circling the crowds who have come to celebrate one horror story being ended, she wanders with her camera, snapping pics and making a few bucks, unaware that welcoming faces may hide their own twisted agendas.

Give lead actress Jordyn DiNatale and director Laura Moss 16 minutes, and they deliver a knockout.
