Johnny Depp wails his lil’ heart out as the bad boy who’s really a sweetheart in the second mainstream movie made by director John Waters.

It’s a rockin’ follow-up to Hairspray, with a little more danger, a lot more smoldering, and Iggy Popp tossed in for good measure.

Our hero lost his parents to the electric chair, and flirts with some juvenile delinquency of his own, but is redeemed by the love of a girl from the right side of the tracks.

Basically, the best Elvis movie Elvis never made.
