Movie-going before the rise of the internet was so different.

We live in a world of spoilers, of leaked plots, of every last little bit of info being available — if you look hard enough — before you see a film.

But in ’99, all we knew prior to the lights going down, was this new Keanu Reeves sci-fi film was supposedly going to blow our collective minds.

We had no idea.

One moment the phone is ringing, and the next moment, Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) is running straight up the mother-freakin’ wall, and, all across America, you could hear brains go boom.
