The Princess Bride

The great uniter.

Doesn’t matter whether you’re a liberal or a conservative, man or woman, a 10-year-old or pushing triple digits on the age odometer.

This is that rarity of rarities – a film every reasonable person loves with a burning intensity.

Seriously, if you can’t get behind this charming fantasy/comedy/action fest, you’ve just self-diagnosed as being a sociopath.

There are deeper movies, more thought-provoking ones, sure.

But few, if any, warm your soul as much as the one where Westley and Buttercup overcome great odds, dastardly villains, and a fire swamp or two, in pursuit of love, true love.
