In six short minutes, writer/director Matthew A. Cherry tracks a father attempting to style his daughter’s hair for the first time, sprinkling things with humor and an unexpected emotional kick to the heart in the finale.
The film looks beautiful, every image popping off the screen, and the story is both deeply personal and universal.
A most-deserved winner of the Best Animated Short Film at the Oscars, it’s a must-see.
