What could have been.

Hitting in the mid-’90s, this rough-edged gem offered Darling Narita a breakout role.

Or at least that’s what I hoped back then.

Playing a young actress who fractures after a particularly bad day, she walks off with a police uniform and gun, nabbing a brief chance to experience life on the other side, for good or ill.

Narita never hit it big, unlike Lucy Liu, who has a bit part here.

That’s too bad, but she still knocked it out of the park once in her career, which is more than most can say.
