Sputnik

Nothing good ever comes from outer space.

Look back at the history of movies, and, most times aliens show up, they’re not bearing flowers and coffee cake.

It’s a story as old as time, but given a nice twist by a new Russian film.

Two cosmonauts plunge back to earth in 1983, but only one survives, and he’s got something new and nasty lodged in his guts.

Unconventional doctor Oksana Akinshina is brought in to monitor things for a shadowy government group, but she has issues of her own.

A superbly creepy slow-burn, Sputnik is a nice gift for sci-fi fans.
