There are a million things that can kill you in the water, but few get the job done as effectively as “Bruce,” the silent-but-deadly shark who launched the Age of the Blockbusters.

What is left to say about a film which made Steven Spielberg the King of Hollywood, inspiring a legion of filmmakers to go ever-bigger in an attempt to capture elusive box office bucks?

That even now, after 45 years, it remains as suspenseful as ever, delivering a clever mix of small, poignant moments, and audience-pleasing gasp-inducers.

Never old, always fresh.
