He’s arrived in Indiana from South Korea after his father’s hospitalization, while she’s stuck in her hometown, tending her mom, who is supposedly fighting a long-time drug addiction.

Columbus is about smart, conflicted people spending their time largely talking, tentative sparks set off by an appreciation for each other’s intelligence.

It paints a small, but precise, story, proving you don’t need big bucks and bigger explosions, to make riveting cinema.
