Directed by Thom Eberhardt, who also gave us Night of the Comet and Captain Ron, it springs from the idea Doctor Watson was the brilliant one.
Meanwhile Sherlock Holmes was an idiot actor hired to fill the role of world’s greatest detective.
Michael Caine brings considerable class to his bumbling Holmes, in a largely-forgotten gem worth digging back up.
