Rabble-rousing and crowd-pleasing.

While it may take a few (fairly minor) deviations from the real historical record, mainly with its fiery finale, this Aaron Sorkin film delivers in getting its message across.

Vietnam War bad. Hippies good.

Like any political film, your own beliefs will likely color your appreciation, or disdain, for what plays out – but all should be able to at least admit it’s strongly-acted.

Sascha Baron Cohen, in particular, is a standout as the wild man of the movement, Abbie Hoffman, a dude who used spectacle to get the money, and attention, he needed to further his cause.
