Now, even metal fans can delight to the regal rhythms of Mr. Lewis, thanks to Bill McClintock laying them down behind Metallica’s James Hetfield lettin’ loose on Enter Sandman.

The lyrics are even creepier this time around, and that sound, it does pop.

No need for the axe, Patrick. They like it, they really do.

Three young boys were killed in rural Arkansas in the early ’90s.

Then three teens with a love of heavy metal music and (maybe) Satanic worship, spent almost 20 years in jail after being accused of the crimes.

Caught in a court system which seemed to have little to no interest in acknowledging the evidence pointed elsewhere, the West Memphis Three remain one of the enduring enigmas of another time and place.

Even after the trio were released in 2011, the case continues to reverberate through a small-town community forever fractured.
