This gorgeous slice-of-life doc gets in, tells its tale, and gets out, barely topping a half hour while showing how you can tell a deep story with a tight running time.

Available through Netflix streaming, if you’re willing to dig deep, it’s poignant and heartwarming.

It tells the tale of Nancy Kulik, an Italian-American mom of four who pushed herself to achieve in life by emulating her favorite motion picture star, her Oscar-winning countrywoman.

Loren is world-famous, Kulik not so much, but their parallel lives, and eventual in-person meeting, are the stuff (movie) dreams are made of.
